The XVII International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2008) brought together the world's foremost researchers, health-care workers, civil society, policy makers, activists, people living with HIV/AIDS and donors, to share current knowledge on a full spectrum of issues about the global epidemic. The conference, convened by the IAS, was organised in partnership with a number of international bodies and local partners, including the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and civil society organisations. Click on the link above to go to the website of the biannual international Microbicides 2008 Conference held at New Delhi February 24th to 27th, 2008. For the first time the meeting was held in the Asian region. The earlier meetings were held at Washington DC in 2000, Antwerp in 2002, London in 2004, and Cape Town in 2006.
