The new Microbicides Essentials Course is NOW available free of charge!
This course is designed to help advocates and clinical trial staff answer the tough questions that you hear everyday
What happens when trial participants become HIV positive? What is done to test safety? What about men? How might ARV-based microbicides work? Why do so many of the large trials take place in Africa? What will it take for microbicides to get to the market? Why do these trials take so long? How do microbicides fit into the larger prevention field? When will they be available?
The course goes beyond GCM's basic factsheets to provide in-depth contact on:
| The science of HIV and microbicides | Access and introduction |
| Need, use, and impact | History and players in the field |
| Pre-clinical research and clinical trials | Rectal microbicides |
