"Giving Women Power Over AIDS" is a museum-quality walk-through travelling exhibit. It is comprised of ten double-sided 'pop-up' panels that are 93 cm wide, 2 m high and 26 cm thick, and a one sided seperate panel. On average the entire exhibit requires more or less 56 m² (ideally 121 m²) of space.

One side of the exhibit displays an adaptation of “In Her Mother’s Shoes”. In 2002, reporter Paula Bock and photographer Betty Udesen of the Seattle Times traveled to Zimbabwe to get a first hand look at the reality of HIV/AIDS. The resulting photo-essay tells the story of Martha, one of some 11 million AIDS orphans in sub-Saharan Africa. To see the photo essay, go to: www.seattletimes.com/aids

HOW TO SET UP THE EXHIBIT PANELS?
No two spaces are exactly the same so actual placements should be adjusted. Start with these two lay-outs below as a general idea and adapt as necessary.

The 11 banners are shipped in four hard plastic cases. The cases weigh about 30 kg each, and have the following dimensions: 112 cm long, 26 cm wide and 38 cm tall.
