Students for Microbicides
Be Part of the Global Student Effort to Prevent HIV/AIDS
S4M: Students for Microbicides is a new student advocacy organization affiliated with the Global Campaign for Microbicides. S4M mobilizes students from all disciplines and from all parts of the world to advocate for the development of a safe and effective microbicide.
S4M taps into the abundant resources and intellectual capabilities that college campuses have to offer. We envision campuses where people interested in everything from medicine to economics to anthropology can contribute to microbicide advocacy.
S4M provides resources to existing student organisations as well as establishes chapters at colleges and universities. Our tactics include presentations, distribution of materials at tables, film screenings, and other creative initiatives to educate students about the need for more HIV prevention options. Currently, there are S4M chapters at Wesleyan University in CT, U.S., Saint Michael's College in VT, U.S. , and Princeton University in Princeton, NJ, U.S.
